The corgi is a working dog first. In Wales, farmers used Pembroke and Cardigan Welsh Corgis to move cattle, and the short legs were the point: a low dog could nip at a cow's heels and stay under the kick. The name is usually traced to the Welsh words for dwarf and dog. The American Kennel Club recognized the Pembroke in 1934 and the Cardigan in 1935, and the Pembroke became famous worldwide as the favorite breed of Queen Elizabeth II, who owned more than 30 of them during her life.

Do these shirts say corgi dad?
No. They are original corgi designs picked for the man who loves his corgi: herding and working-dog posters, travel and music designs and a few for readers. None of them is on our funny corgi or corgi mom pages, so you can mix designs from all three.
Do these work for a Cardigan Welsh Corgi?
